Book Review: The Dictionary of Love

Dictionary of LoveThe Dictionary of Love
John Stark (Avon Press)
January 2008

Everything you need to know about love, and of course sex, in one pocket-sized ‘AAh’ to ‘ZZZ’…’vocal sound[s] that follow orgasm’. Drawing from literature, psychological texts, internet dating sites and sex manuals, this alphabetical categorization considers acts of romance, emotion and desire via definitions of the Kama Sutra, Dildos, and Dogs…the ‘domesticated 4-legged animal’ that ‘never holds a grudge, has a snit or calls with excuses’. I wouldn’t rely on this too much for academic purposes but will come in very handy when taking a dump. —Rachel Brook
