The Other Meat Magazine


meat.jpgBeing on the Playgirl payroll, we get a lot of raised eyebrows and dropped jaws when we mingle at cocktail parties and talk about our jobs. So we can sympathize with the amount of bewilderment the editors of a new(ish) magazine that celebrates the other kind of meat must get.

It’s called Meatpaper, and no, it’s not all about marinating, it’s about the political, intellectual, and artistic (if you haven’t heard, meat art is all the rage) implications of animal flesh.

“Meatpaper is about every way of looking at meat. I think of it as a magazine that’s just as intended for vegetarians as it is for meat eaters,” an editor told the New York Times. That’s the kind of sentiment we can relate to.
