Single Life’s Charm
In somewhat of a contradiction to my earlier post, another study finds that the single life beats out a bad marriage any day. So if you’re a not-by-choice perpetual bachelorette or bachelor and find yourself thinking, “I’ll take anyone at this point,” think again. Not only is a bad relationship (or marriage) not good for you, it can literally kill you! The study concluded that spouses who scored low in marital satisfaction had higher average blood pressure than single people did.
A word to the wise: If on your next awful date, as he slurps his cheap spaghetti, you shrug, defeated, saying, ‘whatever, he’ll do’, just remember this story and check your pulse – you’ll more than likely be running out the door.—Robbie
